I still want to write,
The day may be over, but young is the night
So then the pleasure is infinite
So much that I may just write about it
I still want write
To lay down the difference between black and white
Illuminate it all in written thought
Find the joy that I’ve all day sought
I still wish to write
But a lack of inspiration is my enemy to fight
So I close my eyes and grip my pen
Study the void and count ten
I still wish to write
Still wish to let it all ignite
And burst in flames
So I can feel complete, and call myself a few names
I still desire to write
Still yearn to rid myself of this hunger, in a bit of a bite
With a taste of stanza melted over rhythmic metaphor
Kissing my heart so deep that it is felt in every ventricle
I still desire to write
Trying to focus with all my might
I thrust my pen forward
Let that ink be lowered
I still want to write
Still crave to write
Today I don’t want to recite
I only wish to write
Now keep quiet and listen
To this poem
That I have just written!
