Verbal Mirror (A poem by Phanuel Ayelum)

I want to write a mirror;

A reflection of your heart.

A virtual scape of your emotions

Represented in written art.

I hope to write you a mirror;

I hope to steal your gaze.

With such great detail

I hope to leave you more than amazed.

I wish I could write you a mirror;

Crafted by Metaphoric glass.

Framed with the architecture of wordsmith

That you may recognize yourself at first glance.

I want to write a mirror;

I want you to reflect behind this

I want you to relate to the art-

Because I feel that’s what good writing is…
