Beneath this cloud (A poem by Phanuel Ayelum)

The ground beneath;

Is rock solid.

And I am afraid of this fall,

What if I don’t make it.

The ground beneath;

Is a death trap.

With whatever I land first-

I’ll be set for my eternity nap.

The ground beneath;

Has rocks on its surface.

Please don’t leave,

Such a fall is a tragedy I can’t face

The ground beneath;

Is flooded with broken tales.

And we might just become one too

If this love ever fails.

The ground beneath;

Is the horror of gravity.

It’s a place of no return

And I know that with certainty.

The ground beneath;

Is terrifying.

So let’s just stay on this cloud,

And just keep flying
