Falling Sands (A poem by Phanuel and Tessie)

Twenty eight more chances

Time has gifted.

Hourglass turned

Sands subtly shifted.

So I take a moment and

watch the sand shift down the hourglass.

Each speck representing the wrinkles on my face

writing the narrative of the memories we made.

And memories we’re yet to make,

A story untold

A handful of feelings unresolved

A gift for the gifted

A little bit more time…
