In my empty space (A poem by Phanuel Ayelum)

I like to be

In my empty space;

I like to write on empty space.

Craft my schemes from the open air,

Exist in my time and place.

I like to be

In my empty space;

I like to live at my own pace.

So calm and relaxed,

Letting only my thoughts race!

I like to be

In my empty space;

To come face to face with the man behind my face.

To gain an understanding of myself,

Before his existence is erased.

I like to be

In my empty space;

Make connections I can retrace.

Reality only has me bewildered,

When these connections are displaced.

I like to be

In my empty space;

And write about how I like to be In my empty space

Onto-

an empty space…
