Thinking ink (A poem by Phanuel Ayelum)

I find it quite hard;

To spell “think”

Without “ink”

Which is why-

Some of my-

Deepest thoughts,

Are found in writing like they ought.

Plus;

I find it quite hard;

To spell “thought”

Without “ought”

Which is why;

I like to place my thoughts-

Right where there ought!

And when I start to wonder where,

I recall that it’s quite hard;

To spell “where”

Without “here”

So that’s where I place my thoughts,

Right here…

It seems my brain

Has fallen victim to my pen.

But I really don’t mind,

Perhaps that’s why they almost rhyme!

In this moment;

They’ve been fused into one.

And I continue to dispense this thinking ink,

Until it’s all done!
